ADEC was founded in 1986 through the initiative of groups of craftswomen. In 1993, it decided to redirect its activities to family agriculture. Approximately 300 farmers strong, ADEC is responsible for the plantation of agroecological cotton without any use of agrotoxic products. Having its head office in Tauá, the farms are located in Quixadá, Choro, Massapé, Canindé, Sobral, Forquilha, Santana do Acaraú and Parambú, in the state of Ceará. 

Coopertextil, in Pará de Minas - Minas Gerais, which was founded in 1988, is responsible for manufacturing threads, fabrics and cloths in Justa Trama by the activities of spinning and weaving. Its origins are related to the failure of a manufactory, where the workers became the founding members of Coopertextil. The co-operative started by renting a building and using machines for making the threads and the fabrics. Today, the 289 associates of Coopertextil, of which 60% are women, have already acquired all the equipment needed.

Cooperativa of Costureiras Unidas Venceremos - UNIVENS, is located in Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul, and was founded in May 1996. The co-operative counts 26 associates aged between 18 and 70 years old. The co-operative was founded in order to provide an alternative way of working and a collective form of income. Since its inception, the co-operative has aimed to have its own products. Today, they also offer other services, using techniques such as serigraphy and embroidery which enable them to personalize all of their products. They make men’s and women’s clothes of all sizes.

Cooperativa Fio Nobre - FIO NOBRE is located in the municpality of Itajaí, state of Santa Catarina. The co-operative emerged from the micro-company Fio Nobre which had already been operational since 1986. Since 2007, it has been active as a co-operative with 20 members producing various cords and threads. Fio Nobre is in charge of the design and the production of clothes (with artisanal details), knitwears and fabric bags.

Coopstilus was founded in 2006 in the municipality of Saint Andre, state of São Paulo. Formed in 2006 by 23 associates, Coopstilus is the last to have joined the ecological chain of Justa Trama. Created as a result of a whole process of professional trainings, this co-operative is responsible for the production of children's clothes.

Cooperativa Açaí in Porto Velho, Rondônia, was established in 2001 and is composed of more than 70 associated groups, where each of the groups has different techniques and products. The co-operatives’ main activities are recycling, marquetry and the crafting of wood, coconuts, seeds, etc., but also the manufacturing of baskets. The craftsmen transform the seeds into buttons, bracelets, earrings, belts and other accessories.
